Federal Payments to Hemophilia Victims of HIV/AIDS

The Ricky Ray Hemophilia Relief Act of 1998 mandated a $100,000 payment to any individual infected with HIV who had any blood-clotting disorder and was treated with blood-clotting agents between July 1, 1982 and December 31, 1987.(1) 

Also covered were:

The lawful current or former spouse of such an individual covered by this act
Children who acquired HIV infection from a parent covered by this act.
